About Me

I started my creative career in a very unusually intimidating way: fresh out of college I was selected by The Martin Agency to make a game for their website in a new technology known as Macromedia Flash.  My task was as simple as it was terrifying: to caricature the ten partners… ten partners at one of the most well known and respected ad agencies in the United States!  And turn them into humorous Super Heroes that would play a game of ping pong… Mortal Kombat style… complete with special powers, crazy weapons and ridiculous moves.

My interactive and entertainment work continued as a writer, comic strip artist, and animator. In 2007 I  produced several films with Chris Kiros, a friend from film school.  We worked as a writing, producing and directing team where we made several award winning films under the Art Held Hostage label.

At the same time I continued my animation in both the advertising and entertainment worlds.

I have enjoyed working for local and national clients including  Pop Tarts, Chex Mix, Johnson and Johnson, Walmart, Nature Made, The Martin Agency,  and Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions.  I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to animate classic characters such as the Otter Pops, and develop characters for brands like Airwick Air Fresheners, USANA, and Johnson and Johnson’s Carefree product lines.  My entertainment work has included episodic TV as well as work for web shows like the wildly popular Cyanide and Happiness.

When I’m not running my animation studio; I enjoy reading and collecting books – Dungeons and Dragons with friends that go as far back as Elementary School – or simple family time with my wife and three children.
